Giving December In Honour of Our First Year.

Posted by Emma May on

It has been one year since we launched our website SOPHIEGRACE.CA.

And wow, what a wild year to launch a new business selling dressier clothing.

Our customers - you - have been incredibly supportive of our vision and mission - to help women win at work.
And in honour of your support we wanted to finish this year by giving back to other women who might need a boost.

For the entire month of December we will be donating 10% of all our sales to

I have became familiar with Momentum because of the work of my good friend Catherine Bell. She owns The Awakened Company and has been sponsoring the small business micro loan program with Momentum for some time. She has seen the incredible impact of the work they do. Especially for female entrepreneurs. Catherine and I are working together on a scarf collaboration that we will bring forward in the new year. But I didn’t want to delay making an impact this year.

We are looking forward to being able to continue the purposeful work we did this year with our Health Care Heros t-shirt (raising over 25K with Madame Premier for Food Security Across Canada) and our Mask Me endeavour  (with Nonie, raising over 2k and awareness for domestic violence issues.)

What is next in 2021?

Well we have some pretty ambitious plans.

We are talking to a designer who has worked with major fashion houses in France about helping us refine our aesthetic and create some even more beautiful pieces that will mix and match.

We are continuing to expand our Vancouver production facility.

We are in the final stages of nailing down a new colour launch in 2021.

We are growing the team with talented people in Vancouver and Calgary.

We have a new knit wear collection of elegant t-shirts, long cardigans and base layers we are excited to launch.

And we will continue to find ways to pursue our fundamental purpose of helping women win at work. That includes collaborating on charitable endeavours and potentially creating our own PAC dedicated to helping enact policies that help women win at work.

Thank you again for believing in the vision of SophieGrace. We love seeing you all looking stunning and chic in our outfits. Please do continue to send us your pics.

And you all really need to get a hold of the Violet Blazer - it feels like a soft cardigan….. but looks sharp as hell.
